External Floating Roof Sealing System

GENERAL
LSD's superior design and its material of 'External Floating Roof Seal ' are the most
effective way of reducing vapor evaporation and VOC (Volatile organic Compound) emission to the atmosphere, thus contribution to environmental protection, fire hazard prevation as well as saving a great deal of money by preventing evaporation loss.
The space between the outer periphery of the roof and the tank shell be sealed by a flexible
device that provides a close contact on the shell surfaces.

LSD-1 PANTOGRAPH TYPE MECHANICAL SEAL

- 'LSD-1 Pantograph Type Mechanical Seal 'system is the most widely used seal design on
floating roof tanks and has been used on tanks from 10 m to 100 m in diameter, storing all
crude oil and refined oil products.
- Shoe Plate is always in contact with tank shell due to pantograph system with weight.

- Excellent 'KF-FOAM Foam Seal ' system has been chosen from many customers around the world. And has been used on tanks from 10m to 98m in diameter.
- Octagonal foam Block covered with Envelope is always in contact with tank shell efficiently. And foam section is fixed in position by hold down plate.
- The level of seal mounting position (liquid-mounted or vapor-mounted) is determined by existence of Seal mounting plate

LSD -TUBE LIQUID FILLED TUBE SEAL

General
- 'LSD-TUBE Liquid Filled Tube Seal ' system is designed as liquid-mounted seal filled with
liquid, normally kerosene or gas oil. It shall be used on tanks containing the full range crude
oil & refined petroleum products.
- Liquid filled tube gives pressure to scuff band to be in contact with tank shell efficiently.
- Scuff band is designed with a ribbed surface to withstand a contact with the rough tank shell.

LSD-20 SECONDARY SEAL

General
- 'LSD-20 Seal ' system is secondary seal proven its excellent sealing ability with vertical
shape of 'Seal Blade'.
- This seal comparises a series of compression plates with seal blade and curtain seal
(vapor barrier). Seal blade is always in contact with tank shell due to tension pressure
of compression plate.
- LSD-20 system can be used with any type of primary seal on tank containing all type of crude oils and refined products.
